    The brief

The July already works with its Positive Impact Strategy and frameworks such as GRESB and BREEAM, while CSRD adds new expectations. The fund needed one consistent way to assess its sustainability strategy against all of them, and to repeat that assessment as the business and the rules evolve. Dragos, CEO of Sustainix, conducted the project with Melati from our partners at The Overview Effect.

    What we did

We ran a strategy project for The July with The Overview Effect as our partner. We engaged internal and external stakeholders, analysed the fund's data and linked the findings to CSRD, to The July's current Positive Impact Strategy, and to GRESB, BREEAM and the other frameworks the company works with. The result is a framework and a process The July can use to assess its sustainability strategy today and reassess it in the years ahead.

    1. 01

      Engage stakeholders

We held internal and external stakeholder engagement to understand what matters to the people inside the business and those affected by it.

    2. 02

Analyse the data and link the frameworks

We analysed the fund's data and connected the findings to CSRD, the Positive Impact Strategy, GRESB, BREEAM and the other frameworks The July uses, so each requirement is seen in one place.

    3. 03

      Build a repeatable process

We turned the work into a framework and a process for assessing the sustainability strategy now and reassessing it in the coming years, so each review builds on the last.

    The deliverables

    • Internal and external stakeholder engagement
    • Data analysis linked to CSRD, the Positive Impact Strategy, GRESB and BREEAM
    • A framework and process to assess and reassess the sustainability strategy

    Why it matters

A sustainability strategy The July can test and renew year after year, against every framework it reports to.

"Dragos and Melati turned a complex, regulatory analysis into a straightforward process with clear outcomes that our leadership team could act on. They provided us practical guidance on running interviews and workshops across a diverse group of stakeholders. Most importantly, they helped us build our own capacity to repeat future DMAs ourselves. We recommend them without hesitation."
